We May Be Seasoned But We're Not Cooked . . . Baby Boomers Live Your Dream

How many of you Baby Boomers think you've missed the boat or you've waited to late to follow your dream?
Well you didn't miss the boat, we were just waiting for the luxury liner.
You didn't wait to late . . . we just had a lot of things to do. . .
We are at the top of the game in Multi-Tasking. No other generation can top what we have achieved.
We raised generation x and y . . .

while working full-time jobs . . .
and at the same time we are caring for our aging parents . . .
while going back to school and/or learning new trades . . .

And now we are raising or helping to raise our grandchildren.
Being a very complex, multi-tasking generation, who lived through one of the most intensed times this country has ever witnessed. . .
and one of the most historical social changes in this countries history. . .
We are a generation of achievers. . .
where spiritual freedoms, opportunity, responsibility, stability and prosperity is a must.
No other generation has yet to experience or live through the many changes as the Baby Boomer. The Baby Boomer generation saw increasing social and economic equality.
In the 60's and 70's the Boomers witnessed and participated in some of the GREATEST social changes with the
Civil Rights Movement. . .

and the Women Movement.
The workplace became diverse, racially and in gender.
Even though many of us have failed to adequately prepare for the transition from work to retirement and may not have prepared for this FINANCIAL FIASCO.
But, being the demanding generation that we are; instilled in us . . . is the ability to recover, adjust and adapt to change and misfortune . . . just to survive.
That is what makes us unique.
We tend to bounce back regardless of what the situation is. We are not known to throw in the towel.
This is who we are.
We are changing the way we think about making money.
We are the assets of the 21st century.
The Baby Boomers hold the top 3 job description traits that most businesses are now looking for in new employees. Experience, Reliability and Productivity.
We May Be Seasoned But We're Not Cooked
We have built-in survival tactics learned from our parents so that we are able to adapt when our situations change. We have knowledge and ideas stored inside us. Because we are living longer than our parents and many of us are able to continue to work after retirement, some by need but many by choice.

So my advice to the Baby Boomers is to live your dreams and do what we do best . . .survive . . . and take this opportunity, your experience, your reliability and productivity and create what is needed for you to survive . . . and live your dream.
P.S. Leave me a comment if you agree.
